Но разве кто-нибудь говорит, что вагинальный половой акт вызывает рак шейки матки? Конечно нет. Мы обвиняем вирус, а не половой акт.

Если люди, не имеющие инфекций, передающихся половым путем (ИППП), занимаются безопасным сексом, даже анальным сексом, действительно нет никакого повышенного риска заболеть раком заднего прохода или прямой кишки. По крайней мере, никакого риска не было задокументировано в каких-либо исследованиях, которые мы смогли бы найти. Риски одинаковы для всех ИППП и онкологических заболеваний, связанных с ними. Люди, которые практикуют незащищенный секс, особенно с несколькими партнерами, находятся в зоне риска. Не важно, где вы спите, как или с кем. Ваша настоящая проблема – не анальный секс. Риск – это незащищенный секс.

Пока мы не беремся обвинять гетеросексуальные вагинальные половые акты в том, что они вызывают раковые заболевания, связанные с ИППП, кажется несколько предвзятым и нечестным обвинять анальный секс в тех же механизмах возникновения заболевания.

Суть в том, что любой секс сопряжен с некоторым риском ИППП, даже если этот риск незначительный. Анальный секс вызывает рак не чаще, чем вагинальный. При всех видах секса безопасность и осмотрительность – лучшая защита от рака.
