В России большинство устройств для альтернативной или дополнительной коммуникации по разным причинам пока недоступны. Но всегда можно попытаться использовать простые доски с крупными надписями «да» и «нет», сделать простейшие приспособления из выключателя и лампочки – нажимая на выключатель и зажигая лампочку, ребенок сигнализирует о своем желании. Конечно, можно приспособить для ребенка с нарушениями и обычный компьютер, но это уже более сложная задача. – Прим. науч. ред.

Речь идет об изменении британского законодательства после окончания Всемирного года инвалидов и проведения специальной правительственной комиссией анализа ситуации в стране.
